Taproot Gathering at Squam

Taproot magazine and Squam Art Workshops are pleased to announce our first collaboration. We hope you’ll be able to join us as we bring the pages of our magazine to life at A Taproot Gathering at Squam!

NOURISH…
your body and soul in the rustic and comfortable cabins at Rockywold-Deephaven Camp, and in the cool fresh water of Squam Lake. Enjoy communally-shared meals with a focus on local and organic foods created by the Bread & Butter Catering Company (the newest venture from the founders of Portland, Maine’s One Fifty Ate and Pocket Brunch).

CONNECT…
with fellow dreamers, makers and doers through conversation in the cabins, in the woods, on the docks, in the dining hall and in classes. In the evenings we’ll gather together for activities themed around Taproot’s Head, Hands and Heart including a talk with Ben Hewitt, games and music on Friday’s Lodge Night and a lively Contra Dance to close things out on Saturday night.

GROW…
your creativity and learn new skills with the classes offered by the Taproot and Squam community of artists and teachers:
Writing with Thorpe Moeckel and Julia Shipley
Food Preservation with Ashley English
Farm & Thrift Tours with Christine Chitnis
Flower Arranging with Stacy Brenner
Art with Phoebe Wahl and Jenny Lee Fowler
